I appreciate the tandem and well-guided experience of your telling us about your life, and also gently teaching us new things. Also, great agent insights. Good luck with the viber! And good riddance to the social media demander. Fool.

It's hard (for me) to find a mythical Substack formula for content. Writing about myself might be too easy, but I'm glad I'm also teaching along the way. Thank you for engaging!

Having moved here and there a few times, including into and out of Japan twice each way, I feel you on the decisions around what to keep and what to let go. Recently I've been regretting some of the "let go" choices I've made in the past, particularly around books on male nude art, but parts of me accept that the life of a nomad can't really sustain all the roots staying in one (big, spacious) place allows. We hold, we let go; we let go, we want to hold again, and this way life continues pulsing. 😛

The male nude art collection might weigh more than 25 kilos, but it’s all coming with me!

Somehow, I think there is no other answer that could possibly be correct here!

Yes! I certainly do remember those sunglasses! I even had a purple scarf that you had on your shokkidana that I wrapped around my head to give you and your friend the full Jackie O moment. I remember he got the giggles from my shenanigans. Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis to be exact! We had some funny and memorable moments in your apartment in Tokyo!

Looking forward to reading your next article that is due to be published you mentioned! The perfect agent and publisher is going to grab up your book and it will be marketed perfectly to reach the most people. It is such a well written, and great memoir. So mote it be!

I’ll have to bring the scarf and glasses on our next trip to Japan so we can recreate that look!
